Carman’s sanitary Bin Discharger like this model 4GBD promotes the flow of various types of lactose, milk, and whey powder products and has received the USDA’s Equipment Acceptance Certificate for compliance with their dairy equipment guidelines. Per these guidelines, the stainless steel product contact surfaces are constructed of AISI 300 series steel that originated as either 2B sheet or #4 finished plate where all product contact welds are ground flush and then polished to a maximum Ra of 32 microinch (0.8 micron). The flexible inlet connector complies with regulation 21 CFR Part 177.2600, and the Bin Discharger’s exterior surfaces include either all-stainless steel that has been glass bead blasted or a combination of glass bead blasted stainless steel with FDA epoxy coated carbon steel.
